Ingredients:
- 8 oz lo mein noodles, or spaghetti
- 8 oz flank steak, or another cut (see note), cut 1/4" thick contrary to what would be expected
- 1 tbsp soy sauce, light
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 medium carrot, cut into matchsticks
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, discretionary trimming
- Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce, see note
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup dark colored sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp Asian sesame oil
Instructions:
- Set up the noodles as per the bundle headings (see note).
- Cut flank steak into slender strips, around 2 x 1/4 inch every (5 cm x 1/2 cm).
- In a medium bowl, blend 1 tbsp of cornstarch and 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
- Hurl the meat strips in the soy sauce blend and marinate for 10 minutes to knead (you can skirt this progression if in a surge).
- In a medium bowl, blend 2 tbsp soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar and ginger. Hold.
